ULM instructor to host art gallery talk

Brooke Foy, instructor of art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, will be featured during this month's Art Crawl, from 5-9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2 at the Upstairs Gallery, located at 135 North 2nd Street in Monroe.

ULM professors publish article on mollusks

Professors from the University of Louisiana at Monroe recently published an article titled, "Late Paleocene Examples of Residual Coloration and Embryonic Features in Juvenile Marine Mollusks from Northwest Louisiana," in the online journal, Palaeontologia Electronica.

ULM museum receives federal grant

Scientists may soon have a renewed understanding of how plants grow and spread, thanks in part to a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to the University of Louisiana at Monroe's Museum of Natural History, housed on the ULM campus.

ULM professors perform on national stage

Tina Mullone--associate professor of dance in the School of Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) at University of Louisiana at Monroe--and Dr. Mel Mobley, associate professor of music and holder of the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Endowed Professorship in Music, recently held a unique and well-received performance during the Modern Dance Festival in Fort worth, Texas.

ULM to host New Orleans Marine Band Wednesday

The Marine Corps Band of New Orleans will hold a special performance at the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 24, in ULM's Brown Auditorium. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
