You've found the website of Megan Lowe, Reference
Librarian/Assistant Professor at the University Library
of the University of
Louisiana at Monroe.
Poke around - there's plenty to see, from helpful research
tips
and guides to presentations, as well a little bit about me!

A little bit about what I do for the University Library:
of course, I am a reference librarian, so I "do" reference, which means
I assist people - students, faculty, staff, community, whomever - with
research. I also serve as a liaison to select departments on
campus:
- Art
- Communication Studies
- Dance
- English
- Philosophy/Religion
- Theatre
In my capacity as a liaison, I do several things:
- Receive and process purchase recommendations
- Conduct library instruction sessions
- Help design meaningful research assignments
- Create and maintain online subject guides
Other things I do as a librarian: serve on campus and professional
committees; conduct and publish scholarly research; participate
and present at conferences; participate and present
workshops; I
volunteer with various organizations (such as
Destination Imagination);
and special projects as they crop up, like helping develop the
Library's strategic plan. I keep pretty busy, obviously!
