 July 2003 to current – Reference librarian/assistant professor, University of Louisiana at Monroe 

Duties include providing reference assistance approximately 5-9 hours/week; scheduling and conducting bibliographic instruction sessions and one-on-one research sessions; creating and maintaining academic subject guides for select departments; serving as a subject specialist/library liaison for Art, Communication Studies, Dance, English, Communication Studies, and Theatre, and Freshman Year Seminar classes; collection development for those schools/departments I serve as a liaison to;  creation and maintenance of resource web sites for those departments; and other duties as assigned.

                                                                                                       
November 2002 to June 2003 – Coordinator for Library Instruction/reference librarian, University of Missouri-Rolla 

Duties included the scheduling and conducting of bibliographic instruction and one-on-one research sessions for myself and the other reference librarians; providing reference assistance approximately 10-15 hours/week;  creating and maintaining academic subject guides for select departments; serving as a subject specialist/library liaison for select departments on campus; collection development for those departments; creation and maintenance of resource web sites for those departments;  assistance with locating materials for interlibrary loan (locating and pulling from the library’s collection, as well as verifying citations); and other duties as assigned.
                                                      

January 2002 to August 2002 – Graduate assistant, Reference Department, University of Southern Mississippi

Duties included providing reference assistance approximately 10 hours/week; conducting bibliographic instruction sessions; creation and maintenance of several subject guides on the library’s web site (including one for grants and financial aid for graduate students); office work (answering phones, copying, collating, etc.); some shelving; work with the documents delivery department (known as Eagle Express);  and other duties as assigned.

August 2001 to December 2001 – Graduate assistant, School of Library Science, University of Southern Mississippi

Duties included basic office work such as answering phones, copying, collating, and running errands (mail retrieval, delivering materials, etc.); assisted with the maintenance of the School’s (now defunct) jobs web site (they now run a listserv that provides the same service); maintaining and shelving materials in the School’s private children’s literature collection; and other duties as assigned.
