The Behavioral Sciences Department is organized into three areas of study: Counseling,
Marriage and Family Therapy, and Psychology. Each provides unique academic and career
opportunities. Both graduate and undergraduate programs are offered.

Students get into Christmas Spirit
Student members of ULM's Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa, an international honor society for Marriage and Family Therapists, volunteered some time with the local "Stuff A Bus" fundraiser on Dec. 3, 2013, at Pecanland Mall. This was the sixth annual "Stuff A Bus" campaign for the Center for Children and Families who partner with The Radio People for this special event. (more)

The ULM Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic was a 2013 Finalist for "Best of the Delta" in the category of Best Counseling Center. DeltaStyle Magazine promotes an annual "Best of the Delta" survey in which people vote on their local favorites in each category (more).
ULM professors deemed "masters of invention" with release of new therapy book
The newest work by faculty in the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Marriage and Family Therapy program has been called “a page-packed monument to unscripted change. ”Dr. Hillary Keeney, adjunct faculty in ULM's Marriage and Family Therapy program, and Dr. Bradford Keeney, professor and Hanna Spyker Eminent Scholars Chair in Education, published “Creative Therapeutic Technique: Skills for the Art of Bringing Forth Change.”
