Planning Stage-Do you need help searching for funding for your program or idea?
Ask us to help you search or gain access to ULM's search site resources
-Do you need information on estimated value of ULM space or equipment or percent of your time/effort?
-Has someone, a business, or a school asked you to be involved in their grant or contract?
If so, proceed with steps below.
Proposal StageStep 1: Write and submit a brief abstract to your Department Head explaining what your proposal will be on, the funding source, partnerships and other key information.
Step 2: If your abstract is approved, please turn it in to Cynthia Rodriguez. Cynthia Rodriguez will provide the abstract and plans to the appropriate persons at CEHD and Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR).
Step 3: Begin your grant/contract proposal.
Submitting Proposal StagePlease Note: ONLY the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR) can submit your grants or contracts.
Step 4: In order to meet your deadline, please include in your time line to have the proposal completed a minimum of 7 business days in advance.
-CEHD will need 1-2 days to review the proposal. We recommend turning in a electronic copy of your incomplete draft proposal a week early so that the reviewing persons can be familiar with your proposal and can make the final review go quicker. Send your electronic file(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org
-The Offices of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR) require a minimum of 5 business days to review the proposal after it has been approved by the appropriate people at CEHD.
Step 5: Complete appropriate forms (we request you complete the forms a minimum of 7 days before the deadline of your submission date). Please bring the completed forms to Cynthia Rodriguez in order for her to obtain appropriate signatures and to turn in to the OSPR.
Step 6: Send the final electronic version of your entire proposal to Cynthia Rodriguez (required a minimum of 5 business days in advance of deadline). Cynthia Rodriguez will make sure CEHD appropriate persons view and approve the proposal and then turn in to OSPR for submission.
Awarded Grants/ContractsStep 7: If original documentation or correspondence was made directly to you, please provide them to Cynthia Rodriguez to copy and to provide to OSPR.
Step 8: Complete appropriate forms. Please bring the completed forms to Cynthia Rodriguez in order for her to obtain appropriate signatures and to turn in to the OSPR.
Step 9: Complete reports as mandated by your grant/contract. All reports and paperwork will need to be submitted to Cynthia Rodriguez before submission any external or internal department (such as Grants & Contracts or the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research).
