ULM President appoints athletic director search committee members
ULM President Dr. Nick J. Bruno announced the newly formed ULM Athletic Director Search Committee. The Athletic Director Search Committee is comprised of alumni, business leaders, ULM faculty, ULM staff, and community educators. In addition, several ex officio members will be named at a later date.
ULM awarded $118,270 to provide professional development for LA teachers
The Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program (LaSIP), a division of the Louisiana Board of Regents, funded the ULM College of Education and Human Development's proposal for a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) teacher professional development program - Out Standing in a TEAM. The program was fully funded at $118,270.

On April 24, the dean and faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe gathered with students in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall to honor outstanding scholarship in each department.

ULM pharmacy professor invited to speak at conference in Malaysia
Dr. Paul Sylvester, Pfizer Endowed Professor of Pharmacology and Director of Graduate Studies and Research, has been invited to speak at the upcoming Dietary Palm Oil in Human Nutrition Conference - NUTRICON 2013. In May, he will attend the conference in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
ULM professor named Educator of the Year; students honored
Jessica Lasiter, assistant professor of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, received the Louisiana Society for Clinical Laboratory Science's Educator of the Year award at the recent LSCLS luncheon in Alexandria.
