Ms. Wendy Bailes is the holder of the Sister Jerome Crowley Professorship in Nursing.
Bailes is an assistant professor at the Kitty Degree School of Nursing and has been a faculty member since 2004.
Bailes earned her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She went on to earn her masters in nursing from University of Phoenix in 2006. She is currently working on her Ph.D. from University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson with an expected graduation date of May 2014.
Her doctoral research concerns the nursing practice environment and its relationship to patient satisfaction with nursing care.
Prior to joining ULM faculty, Bailes worked as a hemodialysis nurse, Director of Nursing, and a pediatric/medical-surgical nurse.
Bailes has taught a variety of nursing courses during her time as a professor, with topics ranging from beginning and advanced medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, and management/leadership in nursing.
