Dr. Eugenie Goodwin is the holder of the Louisiana Real Estate Commission Endowed Professorship in Finance.
Dr. Goodwin is an assistant professor of finance in the College of Business and Social Sciences. Before joining the full-time faculty in January of 2013, Goodwin taught as an adjunct faculty member and worked as a part-time business consultant with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at ULM.
Goodwin earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and continued her study here to earn her Master of Business Administration. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University in 2009.
Goodwin has prior professional experience as a Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. She also worked as a Loan Review Officer with a multi-bank holding company and as a Senior Business Development Officer with a private, non-profit, economic development, lending institution. Goodwin also owned and operated her own business consulting firm before returning to school to pursue her doctorate.
Goodwin is active in both academic and community services. Currently she is a member of Rotary, a board member and Treasurer of Monroe Advocates for Safe Streets, and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish Council.
Academically she serves as Treasurer and Vice President of Programs for the Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and is an active member of several academic associations.
