Curriculum Committee Meeting

Wednesday, January 7, 2008

 

The meeting was called to order at 3:30 p.m. by Chair, Dr. Matthew Matusiak (HS).

 

In attendance were Mr. Andy Allen (Rad Tech), Ms. Sarah Hayes (CODI), Ms. Donna Eichhorn (OTA), Ms. Emily Doughty (Nursing), Ms. Kathy Davenport (Nursing) Ms. Kim Whorton (Dental Hygiene) and Ms. Norma Johnson (CODI). Absent was Ms. Debbie Wisenor (CLS).

 

Business:

1.     Minutes of minutes of November 11, 2007 meeting: approved.

 

2.     Faculty Changes to Catalog: Dr. Matusiak to send out an e-mail to departments requesting review of all individuals listed in faculty section of undergraduate catalog (including adjunct, etc.) and notification of any changes to him.

 

3. Proposals

 

Proposal submitted to COHS CC	Action Taken
School of Nursing catalog changes and clarification of pre-requisites and co-requisites.	Approved and referred to University Curriculum Committee
Dept. of Health Studies addition of a minor in Health Studies.	Approved and referred to University Curriculum Committee
Dept. of Health Studies changes in pre-requisites for courses in the department	Approved and referred to University Curriculum Committee
Dept. of Health Studies catalog changes in preparation for online courses.	Approved and referred to University Curriculum Committee

 

3.     Dr. Matusiak reviewed issues discussed with Dean Ryman in their December 17 meeting.

4.     Next meeting-chair will confirm with all members via e-mail upon determination of scheduled dates of Spring meetings of University Undergraduate Curriculum Committee.
