Research

Dr. Holloway’s scholarly activity includes a book, Dialect Death: The Case of Brule Spanish, articles published in major professional journals including Hispanic Linguistics and the Southwest Journal of Linguistics,and more than twenty-five professional presentations. Articles about his research have appeared in various publications including The Times Picayune, Louisiana Life, The Donaldsonville Chief, The New-Star, Res Scholaris, and Liberalis.
 

Dr. Holloway is also very active in the field of second language acquisition. He teaches courses on Applied Linguistics and has made presentations to various teachers' groups on a variety of relevant pedagogical issues such as creating communicative foreign language activities and the use of technology in the classroom.
