At 10 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Fant-Ewing Coliseum, ULM President Dr. Nick J. Bruno will award 647 degrees at ULM’s Fall 2013 Commencement Ceremony.

Graduates from the 2013 summer class will also receive their degrees.

During this commencement, a unique event will take place—honorary doctorates will be awarded to long-time ULM supporters, George Luffey and John McCarter.

Luffey served as a member of the Board of Regents for 18 years and also served ULM as a member of its faculty, and coach for its football and baseball teams.

McCarter was the founder and head of ULM’s geology department and holds Emeritus status with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
