ULM Continuing Education offering diabetic wound care course

From March 2 to March 6, The Office of Continuing Education at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will offer a diabetic wound care management course designed for health care professionals. The cost of the course is $2,500, and includes the Diabetic Wound Care Certification Exam.

ULM Continuing Education provides various certificate, licensure, leisure and learning, technology, and personal development courses for those seeking to gain extra experience, or learn a new trade.

The course will meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will be held in the ULM Library, Room 335.

The course will be taught by instructors from the Wound Care Education Institute.

The program focuses on overall diabetic wound care and promotion of an optimal wound healing environment including prevention, limb salvage, therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions. The dynamic instruction and hands-on lab delivers essential knowledge on the topic of diabetic wound management in preparation for the Diabetic Wound Certification Exam.
