CollegeRanker.com released its list of the “50 Best College Towns to Live in Forever,” and the city of Monroe—home to the University of Louisiana at Monroe—came in at number 41 on the list. The ranking features the nation’s best cities and towns to settle in after graduating college.

The site highlights the city’s museums, and two of its major employers, JP Morgan Chase and CenturyLink. CollegeRanker.com also touts ULM’s athletic department as “exceptional,” and ULM’s Greek life, spirit groups, School of Pharmacy, and business programs are also recognized.

Monroe was the only Louisiana city to make the list with other top college towns including Gainesville, Fla.; Madison, Wisc.; Oxford, Miss.; Malibu, Calif.; and many others.

According to CollegeRanker.com the rankings were developed after considering factors such as economy, culture, community, neighborhoods, schools, and alumni retention within the city.
