Funding for ULM's Title III grant continued

The United States Department of Education has officially notified the University of Louisiana at Monroe that it will receive Title III funding in the amount of $350,000 for the year Oct. 1, 2000-Sept. 30, 2001.

Last September, ULM was was awarded a five-year $1.7 million grant to strengthen its academic support services in attracting retaining students. Initially, the University received $346,000 to establish a Center for Academic and Student Success (CASS) which features services such as career counseling primariuly for freshmen and sophomores and a college survival skills center, among others.
