100 percent of ULM dental Hygiene students pass national exam

The Department of Dental Hygiene at the University of Louisiana at Monroe has been informed that 100 percent of its students passed the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination.

All 24 ULM students taking the Dental Hygiene Exam not only passed, but they recorded an average score of 85.6 on the exam. In 11 of 12 subject areas on the exam, ULM students scored higher than the national average.

"This is a significant accomplishment for the students." Dr. David Irwin, ULM Interim Dean of the College of Allied Health and Rehabilitation Professions, said. "I commend the hard work and dedication of the faculty to have their students well prepared for this examination."
