Extended time for "Buck$ for Truck$" at ULM

The Student Government Association at the University of Louisiana at Monroe is happy to announce reaching over $4,000.00 in their attempt to raise $9,000.00 for a new fire truck for the New York City Fire Department.

The ULM SGA along with other organizations all across the state of Louisiana have been holding the fundraiser in order to buy the "Spirit of Louisiana". It will be delivered to New York in time for Christmas.

The fundraiser was set to officially end for ULM on Friday, Nov. 16, but it has been extended until the end of the month.

"I can't thank everyone enough for their generous donations for "Bucks for Fire Trucks". Although we did not reach our goal, we did not fail. Everyone worked hard and played an active role in this and for that I thank you. I would especially like to thank the many faculty of ULM who showed excellent leadership to their students by offering extra points in class or matching their students donations to our cause, " said SGA President, Michael Gray.

If anyone on or off campus would like to make a donation, please do so at any Cross Keys Bank in our area. You can make checks payable to the Louisiana Fire Fighters Association.
