ULM junior Graphic Arts major works on display

The Wesley Art Gallery in the Northeast Campus Ministry facility is currently showing a One-person Award Exhibition of Original Prints by Julie Floyd of Strong, AR, a junior graphic design major in the University of Louisiana at Monroe Department of Art. Floyd is the fifth student-artist to mount an award exhibition at the Wesley Art Gallery during the current academic year. Such exhibitions are prizes awarded each spring in the Arts Quest, a juried competition for ULM students and alumni.

On display are achromatic woodcut original prints in the form of still life, landscape and figurative imagery. In support of this major statement, the artist is also showing still life and non-objective acrylic paintings, and landscape silverprint photographs.

Located at 112 Delano Drive on the ULM campus, the Wesley Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The thirteen piece Floyd exhibition is on view through February 15.
