ULM Offers Customer Service Workshop For Employees

The office of Enrollment Management at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will be sponsoring a Customer Service Workshop on Tuesday, May 21 for front-line staff who have contact with students on a day-to-day basis (Business Affairs, Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Athletics, Secretaries for Academic Deans and Department Heads, Library, CASS and Continuing Education). Four sessions will be offered on Tuesday, May 21, in Library 651 (Media Briefing Room). There are plans to offer another workshop for faculty at a later date.

The Dean of Enrollment Management, Dr. Mahmoud Saffari, says, "We look forward to better service to our students through these training sessions. About two years ago a Student Satisfaction Survey was administered to ULM students and results showed an overwhelming need for better customer service to our students. From an Enrollment Management perspective, good customer service is a key component of student retention. Research indicates that the number one contributing factor in enhancing student retention is a caring attitude of faculty and staff towards students, especially when demonstrated through good customer service."
