ULM Instructor Holding Book Signing

Wm. Mark Simmons, instructor for the Department of Mass Communications at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and General Manager/Program Director of the KEDM radio station, has recently released his fifth book entitled, Dead on My Feet. The setting for the book is Monroe, La.

Simmons will sign copies of his new book at Windows a bookshop, located at 609 Park Avenue, on Tuesday, October 28. The signing will begin at 7 p.m., and at 7:30 Simmons will give a reading from the book. The public is invited to attend this free event. Dead on My Feet sells for $24 (hardcover).

Simmons's first novel, In the Net of Dreams, was a finalist for the Compton Crook Award and made the LOCUS "Best" List in 1990. His Dreamlands trilogy is currently being translated for publication in the Czech Republic. Frequently praised as a master of twisted humorous fantasy, Simmons's novels are noted for combining serious ideas with relentless plot twists and satirical social commentary.
