2004 ULM Homecoming Queen Crowned at Game

The University of Louisiana at Monroe crowned senior Ashley Denell Smith as the new Homecoming Queen at the homecoming game Saturday. Smith was escorted on the field at half time by Jesse Handy.

Smith, daughter of Mrs. Deborah Smith, is a criminal justice major from Monroe. She has been on the dean's list, President's list and is the president of her sorority, Zeta Phi Beta. She was criminal justice's most outstanding student.

Senior Garren Bunton was the 2004 Homecoming King. Bunton, the son of Mr. William Bunton and Mrs. Joyce Roland, is a mass communications senior from Chicago, IL. Garren's activities and honors include president of Alpha Phi Alpha, president of National Pan-Hellenic Council, four committee head positions with the Campus Activities Board, and Alpha Lambda, and Delta Honors Society. He was escorted by Dr. Valerie Fields.

The 2004 Homecoming Court was Andrea Ford and Tricia Green freshman court maids; Crystal Kelley and Victoria Williams sophomore court maids; Jillian Fruge and Ayan Martin, junior court maids; Michelle Biley and Sarah Thomas, senior court maids.
