ULM Professor's Work to be Displayed at Art Festival

The 39th Annual Tom Peyton Memorial Arts Festival will include a work by a faculty member in the Division of Art at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

"Pigeon Hole", an acrylic on canvas paneled landscape painting by Robert G. Ward, Professor of Painting at the university, was accepted in competition into this exhibition. Though open to all artists on a national level, the Peyton competition usually draws entrants from the mid-South region. Entries were juried by Little Rock Artist Becky Rogers Wit sell, who curated the exhibition with what she deemed to be the more superior works.

Ward's painting and other accepted works will be on view in the exhibition facilities of the First United Methodist Church in Alexandria, 2727 Jackson Street, through April 24.
