Area Student Donates Funding to ULM Program

Bria Savage, a student at Minnie Ruffin Elementary School, donated her $1,000 winnings as a Hibbett Superstar to the organization of her choice-University of Louisiana at Monroe Family Matters.
Hibbett Sports and Reebok, LTD honored the Savage at a reception held at Sports & Company in Monroe on January 8. Bria's 4.0 grade point average, attitude and school and sports activities all factored in her selection as the first individual from Monroe to be named a Hibbett Superstar.

ULM Family Matters is a Child Welfare Family Resource Center located at 610 South 16th St. in Monroe where it services five parishes (Caldwell, Lincoln, Jackson, Ouachita and Union).
