National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week Starts Monday

In recognition of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (Oct. 17 - 21), the ULM Counseling Center will sponsor various activities focusing on education, responsibility and sobriety.

Events will include "Legal 'Drunk' Driving" on Monday, Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in The Quad, where students will be able to test their driving skills while experiencing the effects of alcohol.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. -2 p.m. "A Sober and Life-Changing Experience" will be held in The Quad to view what the future may hold if you drink and drive.

Finally, on Thursday, Oct. 20, the workshop "Sex, Drugs, and Alcohol" will address the effects of alcohol, drugs, and even prescribed medications on rape and sexual assault. The workshop will be held from 2-3 p.m. at Lemert Hall Lobby and then again from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Admin. Room 3-96.
