English Studies Society Presents Literary Offerings by ULM Talent

The English Studies Society at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will offer two opportunities for literary enjoyment this month.

The first is a poetry reading featuring ULM football player Erroll Hogan, a senior in general studies. He will read his poetry April 25 at 6 p.m. in the Aviation Auditorium.

The second event is a presentation by Dr. Janet Haedicke, a ULM professor of English, entitled "Movies, Melting Pots, and Menageries: Tennessee Williams on America." This event will occur Wednesday, April 26 at 1 p.m. in the Administration Building, Room 3-88.

Jo Galle, Ph.D., and J. Eric McNeil created the English Studies Society in 1997 as a way to bring ULM English students together to share thoughts about literature and engage in literary events. The club organizes fiction/poetry readings, attends literary festivals, and sponsors and edits chapbooks.

Both events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact: 318-342-1500.
