ULM professor receives teaching excellence awards

Paul Sylvester, a basic pharmaceutical sciences professor at ULM, received two teaching excellence awards in May.

The ULM Pharm.D. graduating class of 2006 chose Sylvester to receive the Excellence in Teaching Award in Basic Sciences for 2005-2006. He also received the Rho Chi Teacher of the Year 2006 award, which was voted on by the members of the (national pharmacy) Rho Chi Honors Society.

“To receive these awards was such a big honor,” Sylvester said. “It means so much to me because these awards were voted on by the students.”
