LSBDC at ULM to offer "Managing Difficult Employees"; workshop May 13

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will provide a “Managing Difficult Employees” workshop Tuesday, May 13 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Administration Building, room 2-109. There is a $20 per person fee.

Good managers recognized that there are actually very few difficult employees; there are a number of employees, however, who exhibit problem behaviors. This often results in anger, frustration, a decrease in morale and a definite loss of productivity. This workshop will focus primarily on how to deal with these problem behaviors. Included will be discussions of what constitutes adequate rewards and consequences when dealing with different types of employee behaviors. Also included will be discussions of an effective progressive discipline program as well as how consistency in dealing with all employees is a major precursor to effective management.

Dr. Bruce Walker, Management Program chair of the ULM College of Business Administration, will be the speaker.

Preregistration is encouraged. Please call: (318) 342-1224.
