KEDM Public Radio offers live coverage of fall debates

KEDM 90.3 FM, the public radio station housed at ULM, will broadcast live the first presidential debate on Friday, Sept. 26, beginning at 8 p.m.

The first 90 minutes will be uninterrupted coverage of the debate, followed by 30 minutes of analysis by National Public Radio. The anchored coverage will be followed by “NPR’s National Listening Party,” an hour-long national call-in program at 10 p.m., during which listeners from around the country can share their views on the candidates and the debates.

Future presidential debates are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 7; and Wednesday, Oct. 15. A vice presidential debate is set for Thursday, Oct. 2. KEDM will broadcast each of the national debates.

KEDM is also joining with Louisiana Public Broadcasting and the Council for a Better Louisiana for a U.S. senatorial debate between Democratic incumbent Mary Landrieu and her challenger, Republican State Treasurer John Kennedy, on Sunday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
