ULM business professor published in national journal

Dr. Paul Dunn, professor of business administration at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, was recently published in the Journal of Business and Entrepreneurship’s March 2010 issue.

His article, “Entrepreneurial Characteristics, Optimism, Pessimism, And Realism - Correlation Or Collision?” was co-written by Dr. Kathleen Liang, associate professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Vermont.

The article attempts to understand entrepreneurship better and provide students with greater insight into the field. Dunn discovered that while entrepreneurs are generally more optimistic about their ventures than others in business, successful entrepreneurs have more realistic expectations.

The paper is one piece of a larger project on entrepreneurship that Dunn and Liang have worked on for more than two years.
