LifeShare Blood Drive coming March 8-11

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Clinical Laboratory Science Society is sponsoring its second LifeShare Blood Drive of the spring semester from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., March 8-11.

LifeShare is the sole provider of blood and blood component for the community, according to Stacy Thornton, donor recruiter for LifeShare Blood Centers in Monroe.

“It is a fact that we all expect blood to be on the hospital shelves when and if needed, she said. “But, the fact is we are all responsible for putting it there through volunteer blood donations.”

Those wishing to show their Warhawk spirit may choose to donate at one of two on-campus locations: the Student Union Building Commuter Lounge or the LifeShare donor bus, which will be parked in front of the Nursing Building.

The blood drive is in conjunction with ULM’s Greek Week and includes competition among the Greeks.
