ULM’s Matthews published in two library journals

Melinda F. Matthews, University of Louisiana at Monroe Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian, published "Extra! Extra! Read All About It! Academic Librarians Judging Educational Contests!" in the February 2010, vol. 7 no. 2, issue of Library Worklife.

Matthews also published a book review of In the Trenches at Petersburg: Field Fortifications and Confederate Defeat by Earl J. Hess in the journal, Virginia Libraries, vol. 55 no. 4, October/December 2009, pages 18-19.

Matthews earned her master's degree in Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in May 1990. She earned a bachelor's degree in English in December 1988 from McNeese State University in Lake Charles.

She has worked at the ULM Library since July 1990, where she started as Humanities Reference Librarian. She became Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian in January 1992.
