First Faculty Artist Concert Series of 2011 set for Jan. 25

The University of Louisiana at Monroe's School of Visual and Performing Arts will offer the first Faculty Artist Concert Series for the new year on Jan. 25.

The concert series continues this season with a performance by Dr. Micah Everett, trombone, and Coralie White, pianist, on Tuesday, Jan. 25, in the Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall at ULM.


The concert, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m.

Everett, an assistant professor of low brass at ULM, holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Delta State University. Before joining the ULM faculty in 2005, Everett held teaching positions at the University of Northern Iowa, Elon University, and UNCG.
