ULM to webcast Commencement Ceremony

For the first time, the University of Louisiana at Monroe will webcast its Spring Commencement Ceremony being held Saturday, May 19 at 10 a.m. (CDT).

Access to the webcast can be found on the ULM Commencement Web site at ulm.edu/commencement.

“Commencement is one of the most significant events in an individual’s life,” said ULM President Dr. Nick J. Bruno.

“Through our technology, this event can be shared by those who have supported the graduate’s goal of a university degree, even if they are unable to attend the event.”

Under the direction of the ULM Computing Center, and viewable only through the ULM Web site, the webcast will feature a two-camera set-up, with high definition cameras provided by the ULM Communication Department.

Captioning of various speakers and events throughout the ceremony will enhance the webcast for online viewers. To ensure optimal video quality, the webcast is not available for mobile devices.

Shortly after the conclusion of the event, a full recording of the event will be archived for viewing on the Commencement Web site, including viewing on mobile devices.

Information on browser requirements and other technical information can be found at ulm.edu/commencement.
