ULM President to serve on West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

University of Louisiana at Monroe President Dr. Nick J. Bruno recently volunteered to serve on the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

As a member, Bruno will be part of a partnership of business and professional people who work together to build a healthy economy and improve the quality of life in the community.

“This partnership means a lot for ULM,” said ULM President Dr. Nick J. Bruno.

“It’s an opportunity to get feedback from local business leaders about the hiring needs for the region. We’re producing their workforce, and my service on the board helps to ensure that ULM is helping to fulfill the employment needs for the future of the region.”

The WMWO Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is comprised of business and community leaders who represent chamber membership, determine policies, set goals and objectives, and support chamber staff in the implementation of those goals and objectives.

“We are extremely honored Dr. Bruno has agreed to serve on the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,” said Courtney Hornsby, WMWO Chamber of Commerce President.

“We feel Dr. Bruno will bring great leadership to the Chamber of Commerce and will help lead the organization into a new era of growth and prosperity. ULM plays an integral role in the success of northeast Louisiana, and we look forward to creating a stronger partnership between the university and the West Monroe and West Ouachita area.”
