ULM strategic planning meetings commence this week

The University of Louisiana at Monroe Strategic Planning process is underway, and the community is encouraged to attend upcoming meetings and complete online surveys about the process.

The 2013-2018 plan will incorporate input from all constituencies seeking to contribute to ULM's success, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community members.

The plan will include perspectives on important issues such as ULM's focus, guiding principles, relationship to the community, and future expectations.

Also included in the plan will be newly drafted statements for guiding principles, the university's mission statement, vision, and strategic areas of importance.

Several community stakeholder meetings are planned.

A community meeting is planned for 4 - 5 p.m., Monday, May 6, in the Anna Gray Noe Alumni Center, located on ULM's campus.

Another community meeting will take place from 4 - 5 p.m., Thursday, May 9, in the Monroe City Council Chambers, located at 400 Lea Joyner Expressway in Monroe.

Community members may also participate in any on-campus meetings held through Friday, May 10.
