Vehicle Registration: Students

Vehicle registration is managed online through Banner. To register a vehicle, follow these easy steps:

1. Login to Banner

2. Click the Students tab or link

3. Click the Parking Permit/Citations link

4. Select either Vehicle Permit Registration or Registration for additional vehicles, as applicable

5. Select the applicable Term/Year from the drop-down menu, then click Continue

6. Follow any on-screen instructions

 

DO HAVE the following documents and information available when registering your vehicle:

1. Vehicle Registration Certificate (showing VIN and License Plate Number)

2. Vehicle Use Fee Payment Receipt (from tuition payment or from on-campus LA Capitol FCU)

3. ULM ID Card (showing your Campus-Wide ID aka CWID)

4. Valid Driver’s License

DO REMEMBER that Fall Semester Vehicle Registration occurs at the Activity/Intramural Center the first week of school and then at the ULM Police Office located at 3811 DeSiard Street.

DO DISPLAY your parking decal properly: Student parking decals are to be displayed attached to the outside lower left side of the back window. Attachment to the window will not deface the window, and the decal can be easily removed after use.

DO REPORT lost and stolen parking decals immediately to University Police.

DON’T REGISTER a vehicle owned, operated, and/or maintained by another student. Proof of ownership is required at time of vehicle registration. Violation of this regulation could result in the loss of driving privileges.

DON’T USE a parking decal belonging to another current student as it can result in citations being issued to the person to whom the decal was issued.

DON’T TRANSFER parking decals to another vehicle. If you get another vehicle that you plan to use during this period, you will not be charged for another decal if you bring in your current decal that was displayed on your old vehicle.  


Vehicle Registration: Faculty/Staff

Vehicle registration is managed online through Banner. To register a vehicle, follow these easy steps:

2. Click the Employees tab or link

3. Click the Parking Permit/Citations link

4. Select either Vehicle Permit Registration or Registration for additional vehicles, as applicable

5. Select the applicable Term/Year from the drop-down menu, then click Continue

6. Follow any on-screen instructions

 

DO HAVE the following documents and information available when registering your vehicle:

1. Vehicle Registration Certificate (showing VIN and License Plate Number)

2. ULM ID Card (showing your Campus-Wide ID aka CWID)

3. Valid Driver’s License

DO REMEMBER that Fall Semester Vehicle Registration occurs in the SUB during University Week and then at the ULM Police Office located at 3811 DeSiard Street.

DO DISPLAY your parking hangtag properly. Faculty/Staff hangtags are be displayed from the rearview mirror with the numbered side facing outward and viewable through the windshield when looking from outside the vehicle.

DO REPORT lost and stolen hangtags immediately to University Police.

DON’T REGISTER a vehicle owned, operated, and/or maintained by another person. Proof of ownership is required at time of vehicle registration. Violation of this regulation could result in the loss of driving privileges.

DON’T USE a parking hangtag belonging to another employee as it can result in citations being issued to the person to whom the decal was issued.

DON’T TRANSFER your parking hangtag to another vehicle you own unless it is registered with UPD. Faculty/Staff are issued one (1) hangtag per year, but may register multiple vehicles. Remember to move your hangtag when driving a different vehicle.
