TRANSFER STUDENTS:
MINIMUM ADMISSIONS STANDARDS

A Transfer Student is a student who has previously attended another postsecondary institution and has never been enrolled at ULM. This does not include students who took Dual Enrollment or Collegiate courses as high school students, or those who enrolled at another institution for the first time the summer immediately after their high school graduation.

A student transferring back to ULM and who previously attended ULM is considered a Readmit, not a Transfer student, and is not required to meet these standards.

All students are encouraged to apply for admission to ULM even if they do not meet the above requirements. Such applications are reviewed on an individual basis to determine the likelihood of the applicant’s success at ULM.

If the student is not admitted after a review, the applicant may submit an Appeal of Admission form.

ACT/SAT SCORES

ACT/SAT scores are required for admissions and scholarship consideration, and must be delivered electronically to ULM directly from SAT or ACT. Paper copies will not be processed, unless received directly from ACT/SAT if no electronic copy is available). To register for a test or to request your scores be sent to ULM, see the information below.

The Louisiana Transfer Degree Guarantee provides a guaranteed and easy transfer from any of Louisiana's 2-year community colleges to ULM for students earning an Associate of Arts/Louisiana Transfer (AALT) or Associate of Science/Louisiana Transfer (ASLT).

Students not meeting ULM's admissions criteria are encouraged to begin their post secondary education at one of the Community Colleges listed below that have 2 + 2 agreements with ULM-meaning credit hours earned can transfer directly to ULM.
