Out-Of-State Warhawk Scholarship

ULM offers the Out-of-State Warhawk Scholarship to first-time, full-time freshmen and transfer students who qualify. This fee waiver is valued at $6,050 per semester, or $12,100 per year.

*Students with a 30-32 will be awarded a laptop, and students (Domestic Students Only) with a 33-36 will be awarded a laptop and a study abroad stipend (up to $4,500) sponsored by the President’s Top Hawks Fund.

**Students must live on campus to be eligible for the housing award.

***To qualify for the Warhawk Out-of-State Fee Waiver, non-Louisiana resident, first-time, full-time students must meet the following academic requirements:

-- Minimum ACT Composite of 21 or SAT Total of 1060 (Domestic only)

-- ACT English of 15 or SAT English of 440

-- ACT Math of 16 or SAT Math of 430

-- 2.5 cumulative high school GPA

-- Minimum TOEFL*score of 525 paper, 195 computer, or 71 internet-based, or IELTS 6.0 or Duolingo 95 for international students that are required to submit scores

STUDENTS OF ALUMNI - Students of alumni will also be granted an out-of-state fee waiver upon verification.

 

Amounts posted are awarded annually.

6th semester GPA will be used to determine scholarship eligibility.

Students can continue to take the ACT through April 2024 to further improve scholarship eligibility.

Students who apply prior to February 29, 2024 are automatically considered for academic scholarships.

Housing awards will not roll over into a refund. They will only be used to cover residence hall and meal plan costs.

For students to be eligible for any academic scholarships, ULM must receive all official test scores by:

- July 15th for the Fall Semester

- November 1st for the Spring Semester

First time freshmen that enroll in an online degree program are not eligible for academic scholarships.

Other important information:

 

Students may also qualify for freshmen institutional and Foundation scholarships in addition to the Warhawk Out-of-State Fee Waiver.

 

Requirements for Transfer Students:

Students who have completed at least 18 college-level hours of coursework and who meet the following minimum requirements will be considered for the Warhawk Out-of-State Fee Waiver:

-- a cumulative 2.5 GPA on all college-level work, AND

-- no remedial requirements, AND

-- eligible to return to prior institution.

-- must attend 12 hours at a U.S. college (International only)

Students may also qualify for Transfer and Foundation scholarships in addition to the Warhawk Out-of-State Fee Waiver for Transfer Students.

NOTE:  If the student is a pre-pharmacy major, this offer is only valid for the pre-pharmacy program. Once admitted to the professional pharmacy program, the Warhawk Out-of-State Fee Waiver is no longer available.
