What I do:
I am responsible for working with ULM's web site to ensure web pages communicate ULM's message. In addition, I work with other ULM departments with web design/layout assistance. Other responsibilities include working with the University Computing Center to take advantage of new web technologies to enhance ULM's web site.
My Background:
B.S., Louisiana Tech University (Computer Information Systems, '03) Magna Cum Laude While at Tech, I worked in the Career Center, managing the Career Center's network, database and web pages. I have experience in COBOL, Database Management using MS Access/Oracle 9/SQL, Javascript, HTML/Web Page design, Visual Basic 6.0, and network applications, in addition to years of hands-on computer experience, including building my own PC's. I have experience with: MS-DOS Windows 3.1 / 95 / 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP MS Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint/Outlook MS Visio, MS Project Apple 8.x / 9.x / OS X (Jagaur and Panther) Pascal, Lotus 1-2-3, DBase, Paradox Adobe Creative Suite MacroMedia Dreamweaver Various other business applications. News of the Weird - Truth IS stranger than fiction! I'm always intrigued by the nature of human nature. Invention and Technology - In 1899, the Director of the U.S. Patent Office proposed to Congress that the Patent Office should be abolished since "...everything that can be invented, has been invented." I don't think so, Tim! Political Cartoons - I'm somewhat of a political junkie. That means I enjoy the puns, barbs, and satire from a whole cadre of political cartoons from newspapers around the country. By the way, time for the disclaimer. These cartoons do not represent the opinions of the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Border Collie Museum - The work-a-holics of the canine world, Border Collies, or BC's, come in a variety of colors and markings. These dogs are not for couch potatoes, but are great with kids. And if you have a few sheep, the Border Collie will take care of them, too! The Border Collie Museum is a great place to get lots of information about BCs.
