Students Hear Welcoming Words And The New Alma Mater At The ULM University-Wide Convocation

The Baptist Collegiate Ministry will be hosting its annual Steak for a buck event, "Steak Out" on the campus the University of Louisiana at Monroe today, Wednesday, Aug. 21. The steaks will be served at 12:01 p.m. and again at 1:01 p.m. For one dollar, you will receive a steak, potato, desert, and tea. The lunch will be held at the BCM located at 1005 University Avenue on the ULM campus.

Dr. David Uth, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe, will be the featured speaker and Fred Baskin will hold a concert. All ULM faculty, staff and students are invited to the lunch. The BCM expects over 300 attendees today.

Mark Robinson, Director of the BCM, said, "We hold this annual event to outreach to the campus in order to help launch the new school year. We are the largest campus organization, with around 300 members."

The BCM serves lunch for only one dollar every week at ULM.
