Student Organization Rocks All Night and Then Some for a Good Cause

The University of Louisiana at Monroe sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, is holding its annual fundraiser. "Rock-A-Thon 2002 is now under way in front of the Wigwam on Northeast Drive. The Rock-A-Thon began at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

During the Rock-A-Thon, members of the sorority will rock in rocking chairs for 48 hours. The girls are accepting donations for their feat. The money raised will go towards juvenile arthritis research. Arthritis research is the national philanthropy for the sorority.
