ULM Web site gets new look

The University of Louisiana at Monroe updated their Web site today. ULM's Computing center Created the new structure with input and comments from various sources.

The University strives to keep the look of the site fresh and new. Since the web site began in 1995, it has gone through many changes and looks. ULM is always working toward a more user friendly, easier to navigate Web site.

The most obvious change is to the ULM Home page. Many current and prospective students use the homepage as a navigational tool to start searching for information within the ULM Web site. ULM also wanted a central place for current students to go in order to easily find various resources, services, and activities on campus. You will now find direct links to current and prospective students right on the Home page.

There is also a reduction in links from the Home page. We have done this to reduce congestion and make the decision of where to go from the homepage clearer. This is especially important to prospective students and other visitors outside our current university community. There is already some positive feedback about the new look.

Also, the University Calendar (http://www.ulm.edu/calendar) is a valuable resource to everyone. You will find a direct link to it as well.
