Entergy/ULM's Community Partnership Grant Winners

ULM's Department of Computer Science announced the winners of the CSI@ULM Contest that was held on campus this past week. The contest was a challenge for head-to-head competition that entailed problem solving, Internet searching and computer skills. Nine regional high school teams competed for top cash awards for their schools ($200 1st place team, $150 2nd place team, $125 3rd place team and $100 4th place team). The money was part of an Entergy Community Partnership Grant.

Finishing in first place was the Sterlington High School team consisting of Eric Hill, Will Long, Adam Hollowell, T.J. Spence and sponsor Cassie Owens. The second place winner was the Rayville High School team consisting of Jese Cade, Ben Bryan, Brandon Dupont, Ryan Romera and sponsor Stephen Dupont. Third place winner was the Ouachita Parish High School team consisting of Jon Cooper, Joseph Hearington, Brett Pickering, David Swallow and sponsor Connie Carraway. The fourth place winner was the West Monroe High School team consisting of Mark Reeves, David Reeves, Josh Green and sponsor Carlean Tugwell.
