ULM to Host Homecoming Golf and Tennis Tournaments

As part of the Homecoming week festivities, the University of Louisiana at Monroe will host the 30th Annual Homecoming Golf Tournament and the 28th Annual Tennis Tournament on Friday, October 14.

The Homecoming Golf Tournament will take place at the Frenchman's Bend Golf Course, with a morning session beginning at 8 a.m. and an afternoon session beginning at 1 p.m. Players may choose either session on a first come basis as space is available. The entry fee is $75 per player or $150 per team. Entry fee must be prepaid with entry form. The entry fee includes carts, green fees, range balls prizes, lunch, and courtesy wagon.

The event will be two tournaments in one divided into the Open and Senior groups. In order to qualify for the Senior group, both players must be age 60 or over. The Open group players may be any age. There will be up to three open flights in the morning depending upon the number of teams. Qualifying senor teams playing in the morning will be automatically in the overall Senior group. There will be up to three Open flights of afternoon players, depending on the number of teams. The Senior group will have up to three flights depending on the total number of teams in the morning and afternoon sessions. Each flight will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Flights will be determined at the end of each session. Prizes for the morning session will be awarded during lunch at the course. Prizes for the afternoon session will be awarded at the course as soon as possible following play.

Lunch will be provided for all players beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 1:30 p.m.

The 28th Annual Tennis Tournament will take place at ULM's Heard Stadium at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The entry fee is $25 per person and includes refreshments, prizes, and court fees.

Competition will be held in men's and women's doubles and will be limited to available court space. Teams will be classified according to NTPR Ratings. You must enter with a partner. Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner-up in each flight.
