ULM employee and alum publishes book

In her new book “Secrets Men Do Not Know About Women,” Judith Poindexter is divulging what she has learned about relationships.

Poindexter, who has worked at the University of Louisiana at Monroe for the past five years as a project manager with the Incumbent Worker Training Program in Continuing Education, wrote the book based on her own life experiences.

“The book is about being honest with yourself and to others, and how to have healthy relationships. My hope is that men learn a few helpful hints about what women really mean and want in a relationship and for women to realize how strong and deserving they are both personally and professionally,” she said.

Poindexter, who received her bachelor’s degree in 1999, and her master’s degree in gerontology in 2002, both from ULM, said her book is written with humor, insight and truth.

A reviewer on the Amazon Web site wrote, “I enjoyed the book. It was short, entertaining, and to the point. Some of the information was surprising.”
