TeachNortheast Seeks Candidates to Improve Louisiana’s Future

Do you want to make an investment in Louisiana ’s future? Become a certified teacher.

There will be an Information Session for the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s TeachNortheast program on Wed., Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. at the ULM Alumni Center.

Louisiana’s students need more high quality teachers to ensure that they learn. People now have an opportunity to make a difference. ULM’s TeachNortheast program challenges motivated individuals from all backgrounds to make an investment in Louisiana’s future by becoming a teacher and raising student achievement. Through TeachNortheast, individuals can teach in their own classrooms while earning a teaching certification.

Applicants must have a college degree and a 2.5 undergraduate GPA to apply.

The TeachNortheast program offers training and support. Tuition assistance is available for candidates teaching in high need districts and high need fields. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact in northeast Louisiana by teaching.
