SGA extends Warhawk poll until July 19

Student Government Association President Rob Carroll announced polling for the ULM Warhawk’s name will extend until Wednesday, July 19 due to the overwhelming interest of the ULM family.

As of Thursday, July 13, SGA has received 257 e-mails suggesting names for the Warhawk. Polling began July 6 and was previously scheduled to end July 14.

Every facet of the ULM family-students, faculty, alumni and community members-has submitted suggestions, Carroll said.

“This has been an exciting change. I think everybody has jumped on board; and the more we can do to engage people, the better.”

SGA asks the ULM community to submit name ideas to by July 19. SGA will vote on the mascot name and announce their decision late next week.
