ULM Small Business Development Center offers business idea workshop Feb. 15

The ULM Small Business Development Center will offer an Evaluating and Financing Your Business Idea workshop Thursday, Feb. 15 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Bastrop City Hall.

Co-sponsored by the City of Bastrop, Bastrop/Morehouse Chamber of Commerce, and the USDA Rural Business Cooperative Service, the workshop is especially intended for individuals who want to start or expand their small business. It helps identify business ideas while explaining the steps necessary to develop a business plan and identify sources of funds.

The ULM SBDC provides quality, no-fee, confidential, one-on-one counseling services to potential and existing business owners; provides no-fee management and technical assistance services by appointment; conducts workshops and seminars to help small business people become better managers and to keep them informed about current events and changing trends in today’s business world; and maintains a resource library which includes statistical data, census figures, SBA publications, and a variety of other information.

Pre-registration is required. Call the ULM SBDC at 318-342-1224. Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of time scheduled for registration.
