The University of Louisiana at Monroe foreign languages department will co-sponsor a high school Spanish festival with approximately 250 students in attendance Saturday, May 5 at the Student Union Building Ballroom.

The 2007 theme is "Una caminata por EspaƱa," and all of the displays previously prepared by the high schools will center on a city or region of Spain. Neville, West Monroe, Ouachita Parish and Cedar Creek High Schools, Ouachita Christian School, Delhi Charter School, and the ULM class in Culture and Civilization of Spain will participate.

ULM students will serve as tour guides through the displays. The high school students will then participate in a talent show before everyone eats a buffet meal catered by Tammy Recouley and provided by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese local chapter.
