Communication students to relay service-learning presentation Dec. 4

Communication students studying under Lesli K. Pace, assistant professor and graduate coordinator in the ULM Department of Communication, will present their service-learning proposal Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Student Union Building,
Ballroom A.

The presentation on how to increase sexual health awareness at ULM is the culmination of students’ work in the “Rhetoric and Public Address” course. The students spent their time on a service-learning project in hopes that their ideas would be implemented in future.

Students began this project by exploring Jurgen Habermas' theory of communicative action. They then chose an issue they believe is critically important for the health and well-being of the campus community.

To attend the presentation, email lolleyal@tribe.ulm.edu or pace@ulm.edu
