Madrigal Feaste to delight audiences at performances Nov. 29 and 30

For those wishing to step back into the 1600s to experience the music, dance and costumes of the time, the ULM Annual Madrigal Feaste will begin Nov. 29 and 30 at the Student Union Building, second floor. Seating begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m.

Deborah Chandler, ULM assistant professor of music, encourages cultural enthusiasts to attend a night of great food, music and dance presented in the time of the Renaissance. “It is an evening of celebration with great food and wassail, accompanied by the recorder consort, harpsichord and the ULM Chamber Singers. The singers will present music throughout the evening in the Elizabethan style interrupted by the King's playful jesters.”

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the ULM music scholarship fund. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event—none will be sold at the door. Individual seats may be purchased for $25. Corporate tables of 8 are available for $300.

Call (318) 342-1414 for tickets.
